2 Nude studies on paper

Long time since I was able to write, but the death of my husband 7 months ago explains my silence. He always knew that my passion for painting will help me. These 2 twenty minutes studies were done at the school of Fine Arts in Cherbourg.

Enfin voici un nouveau poste apres 7 mois de silence que je me decide a briser enfin.Ce sont 2 etudes de 20 minutes au crayon sanguine.

Back to Toleware

I was contacted in April for some Toleware work for a client and here is a gathering of the work. I used to have a small business of metal trays , jardinieres and wastebins that I decorated and sold to shop or designer (see my Profile)

En Avril un client m'a commande une serie de corbeilles en metal decorees a la main avec de la feuille de cuivre. De retour donc au travail que je faisais a Londres, decoration d'objets en metal pour magasins d'interieur ,art de la table et pour des designers.(voir mon Profile)

I am trying to avoid to be too descriptif and realist with my work. To give too many details might not be a quality after all. I have to remember that "less is more" and  that is what I have been trying to do with this painting.
I am please with the result and this treatment has taken this picture to an abstract level.

Je me suis imposee d'etre moins descriptive realisant que de donner trop de details n'est peut-etre pas une qualite.Se rappeler que "moins est plus"et c'est ce que j'ai essaye de faire avec cette peinture. J'aime sa qualite abstraite.

I have decided to do some fruits and vegetables paintings all of the same format 8"x10"  for my exhibition in Carteret as mentioned in my previous post.

J'ai choisi de presenter mes peintures de legumes et fruits sur un format unique de 20x25cm pour l'exposition a Carteret. Voir mon poste du 11 Mai.

At last few hours of sun and light to escape to the coast - five minutes from where I live, I am so lucky!

Enfin un peu de soleil et lumiere ce qui m'a permis de m'echapper pour faire cette pochade, un lieu tout pret de chez moi, quelle joie d'habiter ci pres de la mer!

I have been asked to exibit few paintings of fruits and vegetables for a conference on diet taking place in Carteret in October and focusing on the value of eating fruits and vegetables.So be prepared to see some of these in the future! this is my first one.

Il m'a ete demande de presenter a Carteret en Octobre des peintures de fruits et legumes pour une conference sur la nutrition  et les benefices de manger des fruits et legumes. Donc me voici avec un theme tout choisi!

This painting will be shown at an exibition in St Pierre Eglise (Normandie,France) in May this year . The theme is " The time".



J'ai préféré pour ce projet du temps travailler avec des lavis ,des frottis et grattages . L’objet s’estompe, comme faisant partie d’une mémoire et le tableau lui-même devient le sujet du temps inévitablement destructeur »
